Media invitation to the closing of World Science Forum 2022

The World Science Forum (WSF) 2022 draws to a close tomorrow, 9 December, following four days of networking, discussions and exhibitions. The media are invited to the closing of the event, where the gathering will adopt the Cape Town Declaration.

On Tuesday, President Cyril Ramaphosa opened the prestigious international science gathering, calling on delegates to ensure that the discussions on "Science for Social Justice" culminated in concrete actions that benefited communities.

A discussion on "Justice in science – How to ensure science reflects the society we want" will precede the closing.

The WSF takes place every two years and attracts scientists from all over the world.  It was established by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in collaboration with the United Nations' Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
