Tara has a postgraduate degree in Biological Science, through the Be Resilient project is responsible for training youth as citizen scientists in river monitoring and is involved in the development of a citizen science data capture app and visualisation platform. 

Through her role as co-ordinator of the Be Resilient project for the CWBR she is also connecting and building strong relationships and teams with youth across diverse communities in the CWBR, and in BRs and catchments across South Africa - helping to train and upskill youth in citizen science tools including water monitoring and GIS. As an effective communicator, she will be able to represent some of the views, feelings, and knowledge of the youth of our BR.
