Mrs Pamla Gopaul is the Lead Coordinator of the Policy Bridge Tank Programme, Knowledge Management Division, at the African Union Development Agency NEPAD, in Midrand, Johannesburg

 

In 2019 to 2021, she was Senior Programme Officer and Lead Coordinator of the Policy Bridge Tank Initiative within the technical Cooperation and Programme Funding Directorate. 

 

From 2015 to 2019, Ms Pamla Gopaul, served as a Senior Policy Officer and Coordinator to the Chief Executive Officer, at the NEPAD Agency, and she was responsible for aligning the organization’s strategic plan for effective programme implementation. Through her diligence and passion, she enables business continuity and transparency while being accountable to Stakeholders, Development Partners, and the African Union Governance structure.

 

She was a former staff at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, as an Analytical Coordinator and Statistical Database Expert from 2001to 2006 and has built a high reputation among the faculty senior management and university stakeholders in delivering on the university’s integrity.

 

She has over 20 years of experience as a professional coordinator and has served as a Research Fellow and Financial Administrator at Technikon Natal from 1998 to 2000.

 

Ms Gopaul is the Sub-committee Lead member for the Policy and Public Engagement Committee, Pan-African Scientific Research Council and an affiliate to the African School of Economics, Princeton University, USA.  She also serves as Policy Advisory Sub-Committee Member, for Global Citizen, in New York and an associate of the Women in Finance Network.  In 2017, she served as President Elect for the Rotary International, Centurion and serves as member to numerous committees within the African Union Development Agency NEPAD and the African Union Structure.
