Ms Iileka is an Environment and Water scientist with a Masters degree in Integrated Water Resources Management and Bachelor of Science (Hon) Degree in Environmental Biology and Gepgraphy.

She has over 7 years experience in the field of natural resources management, project management and community development in Namibia.

She currently works as the Deputy Project Manager under the project- Poverty Oriented Support to Community Conservation in Namibia. The project facilitates implementation of COVID-19 Mitigation Measures in Namibia's conservancies and focuses on amongst others: Natural Resources management, alternative income opportunities, support to community based tourism initiatives and Human Wildlife Conflict Management.

Access to information and technology is a challenge for most of our rural communities, particularly those living in Namibia's conservancies and living off of natural resources.  Advancing Science and technology should therefore take into consideration the management of natural resources and those who still live and rely on these resources on a daily basis.
