Ms. Lerato Maboa Self-Motivated and enthusiastic Agricultural Professional and science communicator, working as a Coordinator: Advisory Services within the Impact and Partnership Division of the Agricultural Research Council (ARC) under the Program called Smallholder Agricultural Development.  Her work involves creating linkages with all relevant stakeholders to ensure the successful transfer of the ARC generated knowledge and technologies to different users. This is also an effort to scale up the use of ARC technologies for a sustainable agricultural sector in South Africa. Lerato has been involved developing and implementing multi-disciplinary projects addressing capacity building and climate-smart agriculture (CSA) amongst extension practitioners. She plays a key role in managing project funds and mobilizing internal and external stakeholders’ for research and training on CSA. She is passionate about science communication and recently completed a short course on Science Communication through Stellenbosch University. She holds a B-tech degree in Agricultural Management and B-tech Project Management and currently she is pursuing Masters of Science in Agriculture through University of South Africa.
