Eva Nambeye is a lecturer and researcher at the University of Zambia, School of Agricultural Sciences. She holds a Master of Science degree in Aquaculture from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources and a Bachelor of Agricultural Sciences from University of Zambia. Her research interests are in initiatives that advance development of sustainable, nutrition-sensitive and climate smart food production systems. Specific research focus areas include nutrition-sensitive aquaculture, sustainable improvement of fish value chains and cost effective fish production systems. Her technical expertise also extends to participating in Government of the Republic of Zambia projects, of which notable ones have led to the development of; (a) National Aquaculture Trade Development Strategy and Action Plan (2020 – 2024) (b) National Residue Monitoring Plan for Fish and Fishery products in Zambia (c) Tilapia and Catfish Feeds Standards Zambia, and (d) National Occupational Standards for Fisheries Officers in Zambia.
