In brief, I have over a decade of experience providing research support to Parliament's Portfolio Committee on Health. This includes non-partisan, independent, sector-related research for the Portfolio Committee’s oversight over the Department of Health and its entities’ including amongst other things, Budget and Annual Performance Report analyses. In addition to this, I provide research support for the review and processing of legislation. This includes the Universal Health Coverage legislation known in South Africa as the National Health Insurance (NHI) Bill currently before Parliament, and the National Health Amendment Act, amongst others. This is in addition to the regular research support provided for oversight activities.
