Ebrahim Samodien currently holds the position of Science Writer and Editor at the South African Medical Research Council. In this role he is involved in research translation, one of the key strategic goals of the organization. He holds a PhD in Plant Biotechnology from Stellenbosch University, where his project involved molecular biology and genetic engineering. Ebrahim’s research interests include diseases of lifestyle, nutrition and nutraceuticals, neurogenesis, and natural medicine, with a keen focus on holistic wellness. He is also a certified Life Coach Practitioner and self-published author, with his maiden work entitled Book of the Bees.
