Professor Abdallah Kouzou, was born in Djelfa, Algeria in 1964. He is a collaborator researcher at Texas A&M University at Qatar. He has been the president of the scientific council of the faculty from 2014 to 2016 and the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology from 2015 to 2017. He has participated in several research projects and has led several research projects. 

He is associate researcher, visitor professor, and adjunct professor at many universities. He is a national and international expert in the selection and evaluation of projects with many programs, especially on renewable energies, power quality, and climate change. He is a National Connection Point (NCP) in Algeria for the European Horizon project 2022-2027. He is currently the Chair of the Africa Working Group on Decarbonisation of Transport in Africa led by the InterAcademy Partnership and the Network of African Science Academies (IPA-NASAC).

He has published more than 420 papers in journals and international conferences. His main research interests include Renewable Energies Sources, Power Quality issues, Power Electronics Devices and drive control, Application of Power electronics in Renewable Energies, Climate change issues, Impact of conventional energies sources on the environment, Application of meta-heuristics optimization algorithms, Smart Grid, smart Cities and Smart Buildings, reliability, and diagnostics in power electronics converters.
