I'm Line Renée Batongue, a journalist and program producer who graduated from the Central African journalism school ESSTIC in 2000. I have specialized in environmental issues since 2008, 16 years today. I went back to journalism school to get a Master's degree in Health and Environmental Communication in 2011, which made me an Expert in Environmental Communication.

For the past 7 years, I've been head of the Environment and Sustainable Development department at Cameroon's national radio and television station. As a result, I report on all aspects of the environment. This has enabled me to cover the COP on climate change since Cop21 in Paris, as well as Cop 14 and 15 on desertification.

After having been a member of the African Network of Environmental Journalists (ANEJ), created under the banner of UNEP, I am now President of the SciLife association of science journalists in Cameroon and Vice-President in charge of the environment of the African Media Network for the Promotion of Health and the Environment (REMAPSEN), which brings together nearly forty countries.
