Prof Olubukola Oluranti Babalola (Pr.Sci.Nat, MASSAF, FTWAS, FAS, FAAS) is the Vice President of the World Academy of Sciences and the Organisation for Women in Science for the Developing World. Olubukola, a National Research Foundation-rated scientist with MBA, sits as a member of several editorial boards and acts as an International Advisor to F1000Research Plant Science Gateway and Nano-Horizon. She was with International Institute .of Tropical Agric (Nigeria), ICIPE (Kenya), Weizmann Institute of Science (Israel), UWC, and now North-West University (South Africa). She has >20 years of rhizosphere research experience. She is passionate about capacity building and has trained 30 PhDs and 24 MScs. A number of her PhD. products are in academics in the UK, Italy, America, Canada, Australia, Sweden, and Africa. She authored >300 publications. She is an AAAS-TWAS Science diplomacy alumnus, impacting the world in policymaking, diplomacy, and diplomatic engagement. Her international experience spans the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Oceania. She enjoys partnerships across the globe, and her effort has received many awards, including the finalist, GenderInSite 2020. Olubukola has an H-index of 51, with ~13,000 citations. In 2018, she delivered her professorial inaugural lecture. She holds over 56 professional certificates.
