Prof. Goran Bandov PhD, Lawyer and Political Scientist, Full Professor, World Academy of Art and Science Fellow, Global Young Academy Alumni Plus Fellow, Inter Academy Partnership’s Development and Program Committee on Policy Advice, Croatian Club of Rome President, Rotary Peace Fellow and Rotary Peace Activator, International Relations and Sustainable Development University Department Head at the University of Zagreb, former Vice Dean at Dag Hammarskjöld University College of International Relations and Diplomacy in Zagreb (2009-2019) and former Research Fellow at the Institute for Peace and Security Studies of the University of Hamburg (2009-2014) is an European expert in Diplomacy, International Relations and International Law, Peace and Conflict Studies, Migration and Sustainable Development.

Bandov is a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Croatian Parliament from the academic community in the 3rd mandate. In this role, he is an active adviser to the Croatian Parliament in the field of foreign and security policy. Previously he served as a member in the Committee for European Policies of the Croatian Parliament, where he advised on taking positions related to EU policies.

He is deeply committed to public science communication in his fields of expertise, with over a thousand media appearances and public speeches in the last couple of years. In that area, he host a weekly radio show on the Croatian Radio where he promote science, peace and diplomacy.
