Mr. Thomas Bartleman

Thomas has an educational background in physics and engineering, with a Masters degree in Environmental Engineering from Stanford University. He is a serial entrepreneur and currently the Founder & CEO of Aspyre Foods, a startup focused on using biotechnology to address the major climate issues resulting from factory farming.
Thomas was born in South Africa and pursued his studies in the US through a swimming scholarship. After graduating from Stanford University, he has founded and worked at various startups across multiple continents and industries, including energy, water, fintech, and most recently, biotech. He managed technical aspects of a multi-million dollar partnership with Michelin North America while working at Aperia Technologies and more recently, supported technical integrations between JUMO, an African fintech startup and multiple African mobile network operators like MTN and Airtel.
In his spare time, he is an avid reader and triathlete, having represented South Africa at the 2019 Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Nice, France.
