Dr. Jalila Ben Salah-ABBES is an Associate professor at the High Institute of Biotechnology of Monastir (ISBM) University of Monastir(Tunisia). her PhD in Biological Sciences in 2009 from Carthage University.

She is a member in the Laboratory of Genetic, Biodiversity and Bio-ressources Valorization , University of Monastir. She was interested in the field of food additives and contaminants and livestockes prevention of immuno-physiological effect of fungal toxin in animal and humain. She has many publications in peer-review international journals. She has volunteered her time to supervisor many students and planning many projects. In April, 2009, she was selected by the International Union of Toxicology (IUTOX) to be the official corresponding of her country to offer news to the worldwide scientists about the research of Toxicology area. In march 2009, she won the SOT/AstraZenica award. In May 2015 she was selected as awardee of TWAS-UNESCO associateship scheme. She is selected as TWAS-ARO young affiliate since 2012 and elected as an EC member of the TWAS-Young Affiliate Network (TYAN), representing the Arab Region. She was selected in 2016 as a Leader future in STS forum. She is the general secretary of the Tunisian Society of Psycho-Neuro-Immunology. She was elected also as member of the municipal council. She is selected also as OWSD full member
