Petra Bester is the director of the Africa Unit for Transdisciplinary Health Research (AUTHeR), North-West University. I hold a PhD in Nursing with a research focus on strengthening South African public health systems through leadership and governance. Petra chairs the health research ethics committee of the NWU, serves on the North West Provincial Research Committee. She supervised over 60 postgraduate studies, especially working across disciplinary boundaries.
