Caroline joined the Trade Commissioner Service of Canada (TCS) after graduating in Commerce (B. Sc., Ottawa) and completing her master degree at Ecole nationale d'administration publique, affiiliated to Université du Québec.  She holds a certificate in International Business from Ecole supérieure de Commerce de Grenoble, in France. She is also Certified International Trade Professional. Following various assignments at Headquarters of Global Affairs Canada, she joined the Foreign Service in 2010 and took her first assignment abroad as Trade Commissioner in Dublin, Ireland in 2011 and in the Hague, the Netherlands in 2016. Caroline is now the Science Attachée at the High Commission of Canad in South Africa since August 2022.

 

Part of Global Affairs Canada, the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) is a network of more than 1000 trade, investment and innovation professionals working in Canadian embassies, High Commissions and Consulates located around the world and with offices across Canada. Among other things, the TCS helps research performing entities develop R&D and innovation partnerships with Canada. They provide advice on the Canadian Science, Technology, and Innovation (ST&I) lanscape and funding opportunities for joint R&D projects. Through its network of partners in Canada and abroad, they provide platforms to facilitate matchmaking for joint partnerships between Canadian  SMEs and Foreign companies, universities and research organisations. The TCS can also help identifying suitable partners for international entities desiring to conduct projects with Canada.
