CV
I am a Freelance Science and Medical journalist with 29 years of experience. I started my career in 1993 at a local newspaper in Polokwane. In 1999 I joined Die Burger (Media24) in Cape Town and was appointed as a specialist reporter. In 2018 I embarked on a freelance career, writing for various national and international outlets.

Founder member, member and past vice president: South African Science Journalists’ Association (Sasja).
During my career I have been fortunate to have been awared several journalism prizes. Including the Discovery Health Excellence in Journalism, Mondi, Vodacom and Sikuvile awards.
I have written two non fiction books. The one ( Emily Hobhouse Beloved Traitor/ Rebel Englishwoman) was published locally and overseas and was awared three times.
