Dr. Chaudhary, working as a Postdoctoral research at NSET) has PhD on Physical Geography from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Institute of Mountain Hazard, and Environment (IMHE). Since 14 years, he is working in the field of Multi-Hazard (earthquake, flood, landslide, fire) Risk Assessment, Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Response Planning. The countries of working experience are mainly in Nepal and China and shortly in other south Asia countries. He has worked as a team leader for developing guideline for multi-hazard risk assessment in Nepal. He has served as a co-leader for (i) developing scenario and conducing exercises for Monsoonal Disaster Preparedness and Response Exercise organized by Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, Sudur Paschim Province, Nepal, developing national framework for risk sensitive land use planning in Nepal. He was also a co-leader for designing and testing standard operating procedures for NEOC Nepal,  developing disaster preparedness and response plan of Kathmandu District, regional emergency response courses, and designing simulation exercises. He also serves as an expert to develop guidelines, methodologies, training manuals, etc. for the different urban/rural municipalities of Nepal.

He has published more than 15 written scientific papers, and some book chapters in the international journals.
