I am a journalist, journalism lecturer and media manager. I hold a diploma in Journalism and Communication, a BA Degree in Media Studies and am also a development practitioner with a Masters Degree in Development Studies. I joined the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation as a reporter in 2008 and rose to become Assistant Assignments Editor (2009), Assignments Editor (2010 - 2014), News Editor (2014 - 2016) before becoming Radio Zimbabwe Station Manager(2016 - 2019) and Head of Radio Services (2020). Am currently ZBC Head of News and Current Affairs (2021 - present). As Radio Zimbabwe Manager, I popularized the concept of 'taking radio to the people' where we woould take experts in agriculture, environment, mining, climate to articulate issues in vernacular language to the people while using entertainment as a bait. As Head radio, I spearheaded the opening of local radio stations Khulumani FM (broadcasting in six national languages) and Central Radio (three national languages). I am passionate about simplfying science into indiginous languages for the betterment of our communities and this can be achieved through an effective media strategy.
