Reda Cimmperman is the Ombudswoman for Academic Ethics and Procedures of the Republic of Lithuania. With a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from Vilnius University and degrees in Microbiology, Biochemistry and Management, she brings a comprehensive approach to promoting ethics and integrity in research.

During her 15-year career at the Research Council of Lithuania (RCL), Reda has held prominent roles including Board Member, Scientific Secretary and Head of the Research Foundation Secretariat. She has led several EC funded projects, focusing on academic ethics, open science and gender equality. Her work on the Pro-Ethics and IANUS projects enhances ethical standards in research, while OPUS advances transparency through open science. GENDERACTIONplus promotes gender equality in research and innovation.

Reda also engages in international science policy, previously serving as Vice-Chair of the Lithuanian National UNESCO Commission. She represents Lithuania in various European and global initiatives, including biodiversity and climate programs like Biodiversa, BiodivClim, and BiodivRestore.

Her commitment to ethical governance and inclusivity has earned her respect in both Lithuanian and international academic communities, where she continues to influence the future of science and research.
