Dr Alfonso de Hoyos y Fernández de Córdova (PhD, cum laude) received his Doctorate in December 2011 by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) with his Thesis that versed on some problems in Array Signal Processing in Neuroscience. He also holds a Masters Executive Program in Big Data and Business Analytics (2015, MSMK) advocating for the use of Big Data technologies in Healthcare.
In the Hospital Clínico San Carlos he used and advocated for the use of Deep Learning and Machine Learning in Cardiology, besides his research in fluid dynamics.
He has worked for BOSCH as Data Scientist.
Prior to this, while working in the Institute of Applied Magnetism (Instituto de Magnetismo Aplicado, IMA) and in the Hospital Universitario Puerta de Hierro, he has worked in several joint projects with the Industry with both public and private corporations, mainly, but not only, in healthcare and railway technologies.
He worked in the M2EMS European Project, working with SmCo thin films. In the course of his research and activity, he has developed expertise in Computational Electromagnetics and Computational Fluid Dynamics, EM Compatibility, Computer Vision and High Performance Computing.
He is currently involved in the development of the Autonomous Vehicle project of the Universidad Antonio de Nebrija.
