Mr. Carinus de Kock

Mr. de Kock is a Project Coordinator for Collaboration in Africa (CCA) at Stellenbosch University, South Africa, where he works in a team who manages the secretariats of two thematic networks, the AUDA-NEPAD (Southern Africa Network of Water Centres of Excellence) and the Partner Enhancing Resilience for People Exposed to Risks (PERIPERI U).

Over the past seven years, he has gained experience in the fields of Disaster Risk and WASH (Water, Sanitation and Higiene), also within a network context where he has worked with various partners on project implementation. He also regularly attends strategic strategic African Union and United Nations meetings where these fields are promoted and networking for the partnerships takes place.

His education includes a Master in Geography and Environmental Studies with a focus on Disaster Risk Studies and is currently conducting his PhD studies at Stellenbosch University, South Africa.
