Benoît Dedieu is a livestock farming system scientist working on livestock farms adaptation to hazards and uncertainties and to improving  working conditions of people and work efficiency of farming systems. He led an INRAE multidisciplinary research division (ACT sciences for action and transitions) (2012 - 2020). He now contributes, within the International Affairs direction to the development of the TSARA initiative (transforming food systems and agriculture through partenership research with Africa) gathering INRAE, Cirad and 20 african institutions. He is president of the International Association on Work in Agriculture since 2017.
