Summary

Dr. Mekonnen Adnew Degefu is an associate professor in Debre Markos University in the area of hydro-climate variability and climate change research. He has more than eight years of experience in hydro-climate research. He has won and worked on two postdoctoral research projects funded by the African Climate Change Fellowship Program (ACCFP) in 2015-2016 and Climate Research for Development (CR4D) in 2019-2021). He was also worked as co- and principal climate researcher in an international research project called Adaptation at Scale in Semi-Arid Regions (ASSAR), between 2014 and 2018. Furthermore, he has been also working as co-researcher in currently active research projects of the Drought Resilience in East African dryland Regions (DRIER) and Down2Earth. He has published more than 20 articles in referred international journals. In addition his academic service and publication, he has provided many training and community services to various stakeholders.
