My current job entails developing science, engineering and technology (SET) policies in my area of expertise, i.e. research infrastructure, support human capital development; manage government resources, budgeting, establish emerging sciences and technology areas by providing the relevant and necessary research Infrastructure and managing international partnerships.  Participate in strategic planning exercise of the programme, compile proposal for infrastructure funding to the National Treasury, take strategic decisions when representing the senior management, support senior management and provide mentoring and leadership to the junior staff.  Moreover, support researchers at higher education institutions to access state-of-the-art research facilities locally and internationally. Knowledge and apply government policies, Public Finance Management Act, Medium-Term Expenditure Framework, work towards achieving National Development Plan targets, Ten-Year Innovation Plan, National Research and Development Strategy, newly approved White Paper on Research, Development and Innovation and its priorities according to the decadal plans, and many more.
