Dr Uju Regina Ezenekwe is a Reader in the Department of Economics of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka Nigeria. She obtained her B.Sc, M.Sc and PhD (Economics) degree at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka Nigeria and specialized in Development/Health Economics. She has an MBA in Management Technology from Federal University of Technology Owerri. She had a course with HarvardX on Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies in Oct 2020. She has attended many conferences and published widely in both local and international peer-reviewed journals in different fields of economics. She has also reviewed papers for SAGE, Premier Publishers, the Journal of African Studies and Development (JASD), Academia Letters and Integrity Research Journals and is also an Editor in the following journals: Journal of Economic Studies; Nigerian Journal of Energy and Environmental Economics and Article Editor for SAGE OPEN. Dr Ezenekwe also served Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka in several capacities. She was the first female HOD of Economics Department from 2017 -2019, Associate Director of  Information Centre & Library Unizik Business School from 2016-2019, Deputy Director of the School of General Studies from October 2019- February 2022 etc. She is a member of professional associations such as the Nigerian Economic Society, Association for the Advancement of African Women Economist (AAAWE), Associate Fellow, Fellow Center for Migration Unizik Awka and Junior Fellow, Pan-African Scientific Research Council.
