Jing Fang works in Science unit as Associate Project Officer for the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe based in Venice, Italy. She joined in UNESCO since 2017. She has been working for the past 11 years, first with Ministries and then with university in China, and afterwards at UNESCO in the areas of sciences. At UNESCO she focused on her work on STEM, STI, climate change, biodiversity as well as UNESCO sites. She is coordinating two scientific projects of UNESCO notably in coorperation with private sector  and playing a key role in the implementation of UNESCO scientific programmes and activities in the region, notably relating to STEM, STI, open science.  She supports UNESCO’s involvement in the issue-based coalition on Environment and Climate Change for Europe and Central Asia, which UNESCO co-chairs along with UNEP and UNECE. She is also the Focal Point of Youth UNESCO Climate Action Network in this region. She has 2 maters degrees both in Environment and in Education.​
