Ms Katalin Fodor has been working on the World Science Forum series since 2011 as International Coordinator and later as Head of WSF Secretariat. She is involved in the Organising Committee of WSF2022 Cape Town, South Africa.

She has been the Head of the Department of International Relations at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA) since 2020. Her responsibilities include overseeing the membership and representation of Hungary in international organisations that provide support for scientific research; overseeing bilateral agreements with national academies and other national research institutes; supervising the participation of the Academy in European Union organisations and cooperative actions. Her department manages calls to support individual or collaborative research activities and coordinates the organisation of the biannual events of the World Science Forum series.

Apart from these major responsibilities she has been involved in EU projects related to science-based policy advice. She is the Academy’s liaison in the European Parliamentary Technology Assessment network, EPTA.
