Social communicator - journalist from the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University, (Bogotá – Colombia) with a master's degree in science reporting, health and environment from Boston University, United States, as a Fulbright scholar.

 

She promoted the resurgence of the Colombian Association of Science Journalism, ACPC, in 1996 and led it for six years. The ACPC was the winner of the Award for Scientific Merit, in the category of Popularization of Science in 2002, recognition of the Colombian Association for the Advancement of Science. She was one of the founders or the World Federation of Science Journalists (WFSJ).

 

Professor of science journalism and history of Colombian journalism in several Colombian universities. Fog has been a free-lance science journalist for several national and international digital and printed media, TV and radio channels, has written seven books about scientists and research centers and was the director of a science TV program, Universos.

 

Editor of the multiplatform science magazine for a broad public —Pesquisa Javeriana— of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (2014-2023), which won seven science prizes and three scholarships.

 

Fog writes a monthly opinion science column at El Espectador, and occasionally collaborates for written and digital media. Currently teaches at the master’s program in Science Journalism at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. She is a lecturer and workshop facilitator in public communication of science and scientific journalism.
