Profile Gabor Galiba

2003-2021 Gabor Galiba acts as   Head of  Dept.  Plant Mol. Biology, Agricultural Institute ATK ELKH, Martonvásár, Hungary. Since 2007 Galiba is Full Professor at Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Gödöllő, Hungary. Galiba serves as Board Member of the Agricultural Biotechnology Committee, of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Since 2007 Galiba is Member of the Board of Festetics Doctoral School Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Between 2015 and 2018 served as Board Member of the Council of Agricultural, Ecological, Environmental, and Geosciences of the National, Research, Development and Innovation Office (NKFIH). Between 2011 and 2014 Head of the Agricultural Res. Committee 1 of the Hungarian Research Fund OTKA. In 2022 he spent one month Visiting Professorship at University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy. In 2023 lecture tour at Japan supported by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science. His ongoing research project deals with the light spectrum regulation of cold acclimation in micro algae and cereals using genomics, lipidomics, plant hormonal and metabolomics platforms.
