Gady Golan - Prof. Gady Golan is a Senior staff member at the Faculty of Engineering, Dept. of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Ariel University, Israel. Formerly he was the President of ORT Hermelin College – OHC, Netanya (2013-2015) and president at the Holon Inst. of Technology – HIT (2010-2013). At present, Prof. Golan is the Chairman of the Microelectronics and Thin Films Center at Ariel University. Gady has been conducting research in Medical Engineering and Renewable Energy and its derivatives since 1995. He has a B.Sc. (Technion, Haifa - 1982), M.Sc. (1986) and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (Tel Aviv University - 1990). In 1997 he founded ATCT Ltd., in aero-space sensing. In 2000 he founded SILBID Ltd., in silicon carbide technologies. In 2000 he founded MICRO-D Ltd. – in flat and flexible displays for smart cards. In 2009 he co-founded Pixolar Ltd. That developed a novel technology for PIN type lateral bi-facial solar cells.
Prof. Golan has serves as Chairman of IEEE-EDS Israel, Chairman of IET-Israel, Chairman of the Society for Information Display – SID-Israel and Chairman of ISES Israel. He's also a member of board at SEEEI Israel, CIGRE and CIRED Israel.
Prof. Golan is the author of 2 Academic books: "Semiconductors", and "Electron Devices" (Open University Press, 1996, 2000).
He's also the author of 150 scientific papers and numerous abstracts in scientific meetings. Finally, Prof. Golan has 25 patents on his name.
