Dr. Irfan Ahmad Gondal is a distinguished academic and researcher with over 30 years of cumulative professional experience. He currently serves as the  Chairperson of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at National Skills University (NSU), Islamabad. With a robust background in energy systems modeling, renewable energy technologies, and carbon mitigation techniques, Dr. Gondal has been instrumental in advancing research in sustainable energy solutions, including hydrogen fuel cell systems and clean energy technologies.

Dr. Gondal holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Renewable Energy, and an MSc in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering. His expertise spans across academia and industry, having previously held key positions such as Deputy Director at the Military Vehicle Research & Development Establishment and Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department at National University of Technology (NUTECH), Islamabad.

An HEC-approved supervisor and a NEECA-certified energy auditor, Dr. Gondal has contributed significantly to research, with numerous publications in high-impact international journals. His work on geothermal systems, renewable hydrogen integration, and offshore renewable energy has positioned him among the top 2% of scientists globally. His leadership in various research projects, including hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and net-zero energy buildings, reflects his commitment to innovation in sustainable technologies.
