Thomas Hartung, MD PhD, is professor at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the Whiting School of Engineering, Georgetown University, Washington D.C., and University of Konstanz, Germany. He directs the Centers for Alternatives to Animal Testing (CAAT) in the US and Europe and currently serves on the Organizing Committee of the Exposome Moonshot Forum, a multi-nation initiative aligning industry, government, and academia to quantify a rapidly changing environment's effect on human health. Hartung also serves as Field Chief Editor of Frontiers in AI. He’s authored 700+ scientific publications with 50,000+ citations (h-index 119) and his COURSERA toxicology classes had 20,000+ active learners.
