Prof. Dr. Khalid M. Iraqi is the Vice Chancellor of the University of Karachi, one of the largest national university of Pakistan serves 40 thousand students with over 50 departments and 23 national and international research centers, including numerous centers of excellence. Dr. Iraqi serves as Chairman of the Board of Governors for all centers of the University, board member at various other national institutions across Pakistan. His previous roles include Dean at faculty of Management & Administrative Sciences, Chairman of the Department of Public Administration, Director of Admissions and many more.

As an academic expert, Dr. Iraqi has successfully supervised over 20 M.Phil. and Ph.D. scholars, many of whom are serving both nationally and internationally. He has authored more than 80 research articles, including conference proceedings in national and international journals.

A versatile administrator with proven expertise, Dr. Iraqi effectively manages complex challenges with a proactive approach, consistently turning obstacles into opportunities for institutional growth. His leadership and contributions to capacity building have been recognized through prestigious national and international awards. As Vice Chancellor, he prioritizes direct engagement, hands-on leadership, and entrepreneurial skills, personally overseeing operations to ensure precision and efficiency of the student and the institute as well.

Dr. Iraqi has established collaborations with several organizations including developmental partnerships, such as USAID, the British Council, Ulster University UK, George Mason University (USA) and Algoma University (Canada) to advances the University's development and ranking.
