My name is Ziyanda Jabe and I hold a B-Tech (NQF level 7) in Chemistry from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. I have worked in two laboratories since completing my degree at Southern Oil (Pty) Ltd and Catalysis Institute UCT. During my time at Southern Oil, my core responsibilities were testing raw and finished goods to make sure they comply with industry and client requirements. After my contract expired, I went to enroll for a B-Tech in Chemistry so that I can have a boarder knowledge of Chemistry. I am currently working at the Catalysis Institute at UCT as a laboratory assistant. Here, my main responsibility is material synthesis namely electrocatalysts and characterization using XRD, SEM-EDX, TEM, and electrochemistry.  Providing technical assistance to students and technical officers with FTIR, TGA analysis, and Membrane Electrode Assembly (MEA) materials activities at HySA/Catalysis.
