Professor Mohamed Jeebhay is a medical doctor, occupational medicine specialist and head of  Occupational Medicine at the University of Cape Town. He is an internationally acclaimed (NRF B2-rated) research scientist. Prof Jeebhay heads the research programme on allergens and asthma in the Centre for Environmental and Occupational Health Research. He is a fellow of the Collegium Ramazzini and past chair (2019-2022) of the Environmental and Occupational Allergy Interest Group of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI). He has published widely on the epidemiology, risk factors and prevention of allergy and asthma.
