Mr Johnson is a Technology Transfer Manager at Initium Venture Labs, an entity owned by Óbuda University in Hungary. In this role, he supports early-stage ideas and the commercialisation of IP at the university, facilitating partnerships between academia and industry.
Mr Johnson started his professional career as a Chartered Accountant in South Africa, working for multi-national companies such as Deloitte and KPMG, as well as for the National Department of Public Works as Finance Director. More recently, he served as the Head of Incubation at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, helping to establish the university’ first dedicated incubation programme.
Mr Johnson is also the Founder and President of the GiLE Foundation – a Hungarian-based NGO launched at the World Science Forum in 2019, with a mission to support young people’s pursuit of a successful and meaningful life.
