Thulile Khanyile, is a vibrant award-winning scientist and social entrepreneur. She is the co-founder and co-director of Nka’Thuto EduPropeller NPO and Nka’Thuto TechnoPropeller PTY(Ltd).  Nka’Thuto EduPropeller brings technology and innovation to the playgrounds of schools situated in marginalised communities.She is a lecturer and doctoral candidate at the University of the Witwatersrand (WITS). Her study is investigating preventative vaccine strategies against HIV-1. Her highest qualification is a Master of Science in Medicine MSc(Med) where she specialised in Molecular Medicine and Haematology.

She is a keynote speaker and facilitates panel conversations. Her experiences in the development of a technology enabler and ecosystem at Nka’Thuto enable her to share her insights as both a recipient of her sector but also an initiator of skills transfer systems and education. Through blogging and podcasting she expresses and brings science to the public with an aim of normalising especially technology and innovation as an economic driver.
