Ms. Kimani is a Senior Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Specialist at Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO) and is currently in the digital and innovation lead team. She is the Secretary of CODATA (Committee on Data of the International Council for Science) in France, Agricultural Task Group led by KALRO and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture (JKUAT). She is a Board Member of JKUAT Digital Innovation and Economic Transformation Hub (JHUB) and the Green Digital and Innovation Hub (GDIH). She is a member of the Technical Working Group (TWG) for Food Systems in Kenya.
Ms. Kimani has expertise in the ICT Field, Data Science, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Digital Agriculture. Her experience draws from time and work at KALRO, collaborating and actively participating with Research Organizations, Public, and Private Sector, International Organizations, and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in various projects.
Ms. Kimani has key experience in the preparation and implementation of strategies to support the adoption of digital technologies in the Country and beyond. She has led and launched numerous state-of-the-art digital applications and innovations in agriculture.
