I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Cancer Genomics Group, ICGEB Cape Town, under the supervision of Dr Luiz Zerbini, Group Leader. I earned my M.Sc. degree (2017) in Physiology and Pharmacology at the University of Lomé (Togo, West Africa). I am involved in the evaluation of pharmacological and toxicological properties of medicinal plants traditionally used by local people for cancer management. I did my PhD at the University of Lomé, and in collaboration with two Instutitions in India (JSS College of Pharmacy and JSS Medical College, Mysuru, Karnataka) for my doctoral mobilities. I obtained my Ph.D (2022) in Sciences and Technology, Major: Anticancer Pharmacology. At the beginning of my doctoral researches on cancer, I received training on Molecular Biology techniques related to cancer research - hands on training, at the National Institute of Cancer prevention and Research (NICPR, Noida) in India. Recently, I awarded a Postdoctoral Fellowship and I joined in september 2022, the cancer Genomics Group of ICGEB Cape Town in order to investigate for the efficacy of my plant extracts on prostate cancer cell lines. After the current apoptosis and genes expression studies, promissing extracts will be used for anticancer phytomedicine formulation.
