Raphaela Kuebler is a Program Officer in Science and Technology working with the Embassy of Switzerland to South Africa. Her responsibility is to foster bilateral relations in education, research and innovation which includes the initiation and implementation of specific projects between Switzerland and South Africa, facilitating vibrant exchanges between researchers and innovators as well as establishing sustainable partnerships in science.

As an aspiring global citizen, Raphaela firmly believes in the capability of intercultural exchange and conversations. Two of her core interests are social sustainability and education. She has several years of experience in skills development and conducted substantial research in peace education related to sports and martial arts.

Raphaela has previously worked as a Project Manager in International Cooperation in Vocational Education and Training with the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation; as a Project Coordinator in Security Affairs with the World Economic Forum; and as a supporting organizer of the Human Rights Education Symposium of the University of Lucerne.

Building early on her wish to work in an intercultural and socially beneficial environment, Raphaela founded an NGO as part of her final High School assignment. „Masibambane“ supported a hospital for chronically ill children from disadvantaged backgrounds in Cape Town, South Africa.

Raphaela holds a Bachelor degree in Political Economy from the University of Lucerne, Switzerland and a Master degree in International Affairs from the Graduate Institute Geneva, Switzerland.
