I'm a 43 year old single, black female born and raised in South Africa, Limpopo Province, Lebowakgomo township.  Im a mother if an 11 yeae ild boy .I did my primary and secondary school in Lebowakgomo and then moved to Pretoria, Gauteng Province where I studied and completed a BSc degree in Animal Science with the University of Pretoria. I'm a registered scientist with SACNASP wherein im registered as a Certificated Natural Scientist under the Field Agricultural Science and in the process of upgrading to be a Professional Natural Scientist. I was employed by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development on 01 November 2008 to date as an Agricultural Advisor in Animal Production. My field of work includes,  rendering scientific and technical advices to internal and external clients to ensure sustainable development. Providing technical support to government funded projects, advice and after care. Promote sustainable production on Agricultural products. Involvement in research activities to mention the few. I've recently developed an interest in studying towards Climate Smart Agriculture whereby one can be able to assist farmers in adopting technologies that can assist in mitigating the effects of climate change and thus increasing productivity. I'm mainly dealing with subsistence farmers with few small holders or emerging farmers in a rural setup.  They depend on open grazing systems and their challenges include, overgrazing, drought, poor breeds, lack of proper market and diseases. Farmers are on a protected Foot and Mouth Zone where by the disease is being monitored and thus making it very difficult to sell their livestock.
