Dr Makhura is currently the Executive Director for International Grants and Partnerships at the NRF. In this capacity she is responsible for leading bi-, tri- and multilateral partnerships (including EU programmes) through research funding and human capacity development between South African researchers and their international partners. She also manages NRF partnership grants with the private sector and development agencies.
