My name is Melidah Makwaana, working as Director: Extension Services in Limpopo Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.  I am registered with Sacnasp. The reason for me attending this Science week is for personal development because the information shared during the event is advanced,  well researched and new technologies regarding different spheres of life. Secondly,  I know that the Science week is accredited with SACNASP for continuous development points that will benefit me in the requirements of my registration. 

As I am also responsible for the training and development of Extension Practitioners in the Province,  the information received during this event will assist in transferring the knowledge to Extension Practitioners and farmers in the Province. Also to keep abreast with the new development in the Sector and technologies that can be adopted to improve the situations our farmers face on daily basis. It is very important as Extension Practitioners to always have advanced knowledge because our work is to transfer knowledge to farmers for better decision making in their farming enterprises.
