Moloko Covenant Makwetja graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Physics in 2019, and a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Physics from the University of Venda, South Africa in 2020. While I was in school, from 2018 to 2019 I worked as a laboratory demonstrator in the Department of Physics.

I have had a variety of jobs, including freely tutoring in underprivileged high schools in subjects such as Mathematics and Physics. I also worked as a teachi assistant in 2020/21.

I worked at Statistics South Africa as a field worker, collecting a processing data prior the current internship.

Prior to my current internship, I worked as a field representative, collecting and processing data for Statistics South Africa (StatsSA). I have been a Science Engagement Intern at the South African Astronomical Observatory (SAAO) since May 2022. In this role, I am primarily responsible for managing the organization's social media accounts, promoting the science done by the organization, participating in inquiry emails and/or forwarding inquiries/questions, etc.
