Dr. Kgashane L. Malatji is a research scientist, under the DSI-NRF professional development program, based at iThemba LABS and is involveld in subatomic physics research using radiation detectors and techniques to understand how elements are made in the universe. He is also an executive member of the South African Young Nuclear Professional Society (SAYNPS), which advocates for participation of South African youth in nuclear technology initiatives and research.
