Martin Mayembe is an IT management professional with extensive experience in information systems, business processes, and emerging technologies. He currently works for the National Science and Technology Council of Zambia, a statutory body responsible for promoting, supporting, and regulating scientific research in the country. Pursuing a master's degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Innovation and Information Systems Management, Martin Mayembe focuses on leveraging technologies like microservices architecture and IT service management to enhance organizational performance. Actively participating in policy dialogues on artificial intelligence on the continent (AI Policy in Health in SA, 2023) and open science dialogues (Africa Week Conference in SA, 2023), Martin Mayembe also contributes to shaping discussions on the ethical and societal impacts of AI and Open Science. Additionally, He has been involved in initiatives organised by the Science Granting Initiative (SGCI) aimed at fostering knowledge sharing and optimizing research infrastructure across African countries (Online digital grants management and Research and Development databases).
