In 2018, Dr. Kinga Nyíri earned her PhD with the prestigious Promotio sub auspiciis praesidentis Rei Publicae Presidential Honors, awarded for her research at the Faculty of Chemical and Bioengineering, Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME).
Dr. Kinga Nyíri’s impressive scientific contributions are reflected in her extensive publication record, comprising 21 articles in high-impact international journals (11 in D1 and 8 in Q1 journals), 19 of which report original experimental findings. Of these, she is the first author on 10 papers (5 in D1 and 3 in Q1 journals) and the corresponding author on two.
Her publications collectively have an impact factor of 79.3 and have received 255 independent citations, with a Hirsch index of 7.
Recently, Dr. Nyíri delivered an oral presentation at The Biochemistry Global Summit, held at the FEBS-IUBMB-PABMB Congress 2022.
Dr. Nyíri was awarded an OTKA PD grant (134324) by the National Research, Development and Innovation Office as an independent researcher to develop effective inhibitors targeting human dUTPase. She received a Post-Doctoral Excellence Grant (ÚNKP) from the Ministry of Human Resources to investigate interactions of KRAS oncogenic protein mutants. She is a principal investigator of three PhD students, from whom one is involved in the Cooperative PhD Program (KDP).
Dr. Nyíri is highly proficient in a range of molecular and structural biology techniques, with particular expertise in protein crystallography.
