Sheena Joy Palcis is a medical student-researcher from Matias H. Aznar Memorial College, Inc., Cebu City. She is a licensed physical therapist in the Philippines following a Bachelor's degree in Silliman University, Dumaguete City. Her interests include journalism, public health and science diplomacy.
As a campus journalist, she was a two-time Editor-in-Chief of their college publication as she represented at the College Press Conference and Awards of the Philippine Information Agency. As a youth leader, she was one of the twenty-seven delegates in the EmpowerASEAN: Youth Leadership Programme in the ASEAN Region by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and Indonesian Youth Diplomacy (IYD). They presented a proposal on SDG 4: Quality Education that promotes digital literacy to the youth at Timor Leste. Aiming for health equity, she is the Health Sciences Editor of Juan Health PH, a non-governmental organization (NGO), advocating for factual dissemination of healthcare. Currently, she is also the Country Informant of Asia-Europe Foundation.
