I am a Deputy Director and the Head of Bioethics Unit at the National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA), Abuja, Nigeria. I am the Vice President of the Ethics Technical Working Group of the West African Integrated Vector Management Programme for the eradication of malaria in the West African Region. I am the first International Anglophone Rapporteur for the African Regional Bioethics Programme.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Biochemistry from the Anambra State University of Technology (Now Nnamdi Azikiwe University), Anambra State, Nigeria. I hold a Master’s Degree Level Certificate in Biosafety from the Institute for Gene Ecology, University of Tromso, Norway. I hold a Master’s Degree in Bioethics from the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, sponsored by the United States National Institutes of Health (NIH), Forgaty International Center and the National Human Genome Research. I hold a Doctorate Degree in Biomedical Ethics from the Institute for Biomedical Ethics, University of Basel, Switzerland
